Yes, PluckAI is free to download and use. All core features including produce scanning, NutriChef AI, community sharing, and voice narration are included at no cost.

PluckAI is currently available for iPhone running iOS 17 or later. We're focused on delivering the best possible iOS experience first, with Android support planned for the future.

You can scan produce without an account. However, to use NutriChef AI, share recipes to the community feed, message other users, and save your scan history, you'll need to sign in. We support Sign in with Apple, Google, or email.

Tap the Scan tab (center button), point your camera at any fruit or vegetable, and tap the capture button. PluckAI's AI will analyze the image in seconds and deliver a detailed freshness report.

Each scan gives you a freshness score, estimated days remaining before spoilage, ripeness assessment, storage recommendations (counter vs. fridge), nutritional highlights, and recipe suggestions tailored to the produce's current state.

PluckAI can identify and analyze virtually any common fruit or vegetable. This includes everything from apples, bananas, and avocados to leafy greens, herbs, root vegetables, and tropical fruits. If it's a recognizable piece of produce, PluckAI can assess it.

PluckAI uses advanced vision AI (Claude) to assess visual indicators of freshness like color, texture, firmness, and blemishes. While it's highly accurate for visible cues, it can't detect internal issues. Think of it as an expert second opinion on your produce.

Yes! Every scan result includes a voice narration feature. Tap the audio icon to hear a chapter-by-chapter breakdown of your freshness analysis read aloud. It's perfect when your hands are full while cooking or shopping.

Tap the clock icon on the Scan screen to view your scan history. All your previous scans are saved locally on your device with their full analysis, so you can revisit them anytime.

NutriChef AI is your personal chef and nutritionist built into PluckAI. You can ask it about recipes, nutrition facts, meal planning, dietary advice, ingredient substitutions, and creative ways to use produce before it expires. It remembers your conversation context for natural follow-up questions.

When you tap "What can I make with..." in NutriChef, you'll get two options: take a photo of ingredients in your fridge, or type them in. If you take a photo, NutriChef AI will identify the produce it sees and suggest a recipe using those ingredients. If you type them in, it'll do the same based on your text.

Yes. All your NutriChef conversations are saved to your account so you can refer back to recipes and advice anytime. Tap the clock icon in the NutriChef chat to browse your conversation history.

Absolutely. Long-press any NutriChef response to share it to the community feed, copy the text, or share it with friends via other apps. When sharing to the feed, PluckAI can even generate a food image to accompany your post.

You can ask about anything food-related: "Quick healthy dinner ideas", "High protein meals under 500 calories", "How to store fresh herbs", "What goes well with sweet potatoes?", "Meal plan for the week", "Is this produce still safe to eat?", and much more. NutriChef specializes in nutrition, cooking, and produce knowledge.

The community feed is where food lovers share recipes, cooking tips, produce finds, and food photos. You can follow other users, like and comment on posts, and discover what people around the world are cooking. Think of it as a social network built specifically for food enthusiasts.

Yes, PluckAI includes a built-in messaging feature. You can send direct messages to other users, share recipes privately, and have conversations about food and cooking. You'll receive push notifications when someone messages you.

Tap the Post tab, add a photo (from your camera or gallery), write a caption, select a category and tags, and share. You can also share directly from a scan result or a NutriChef recipe. Posts can include photos or videos.

Yes. Visit any user's profile and tap Follow. Their posts will appear in your feed, and you'll stay connected with their latest recipes and food discoveries. You can see your followers and who you follow from your profile page.

You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password. All options are equally supported and secure.

On the sign-in screen, enter your email address and tap "Forgot Password?". We'll send a password reset link to your inbox. If you're already signed in, go to your Profile and tap "Change Password" to receive a reset link.

PluckAI collects only what's needed to provide the service: your name and email (for your account), photos you scan (processed by AI and not stored on our servers), and aggregate session analytics (no individual tracking). We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes. Go to your Profile and tap "Delete Account". This permanently removes your account, all your posts, conversations, messages, scan history, and personal data. This action cannot be undone.

Photos you scan are sent to our AI for analysis but are not permanently stored on our servers. Photos you post to the community feed are stored to display in the feed. If you delete your account, all personal associations with stored content are removed.

Make sure you've granted PluckAI camera access. Go to your iPhone's Settings > PluckAI and ensure Camera is enabled. If it's already enabled, try closing and reopening the app.

Scans require an internet connection since the AI analysis happens in the cloud. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. If the issue persists, try scanning again. Poor lighting or blurry photos can also affect analysis quality.

NutriChef AI requires an internet connection. If you see an error, check your connection and try again. During periods of high demand, responses may take a few extra seconds. The app will automatically retry if the server is busy.

Go to your iPhone's Settings > PluckAI > Notifications and make sure notifications are enabled. Also ensure you're signed in to PluckAI, as notifications are tied to your account.
